Logistics & Technical

The main port of Mandraki is often crowded with ferry traffic and offers limited space for private yachts. Most sailors prefer Pali, a smaller harbor to the north, which provides better docking facilities and protection for yachts. However, the entrance to Pali can be tricky during strong northerly Meltemi winds. Anchoring around the island is difficult as the seabed drops off rapidly. The best approach is to secure a spot at the Pali quay and explore the island's interior by road.

Practical Info

There is no electricity or water grid in the bay; the restaurant uses generators and has limited resources. Provisioning is non-existent, apart from a few fresh items available at the restaurant. It is highly recommended to be fully stocked with fuel, water, and food from Göcek before arriving. The shallow waters around the ruins make it a very safe and educational playground for families with children.

Personal Insight

Captain's Note

“
"Do not anchor too close to the submerged ruins; respect the historical perimeter. The best time to experience the magic of Cleopatra’s Bath is at dawn, before the daily tour boats arrive, when the water is perfectly still and the history feels alive."
