Yacht Charter Marmaris

Marmaris is built around one of the largest marinas on the Turkish coast, which makes it a practical, well-stocked place to start a yacht charter. The town sits in a deep, mountain-ringed bay with a long waterfront, and the surrounding coastline folds into a series of gulfs and peninsulas perfect for a week of cruising. There is plenty of choice in boats and provisions before you even cast off.

From Marmaris two great cruising grounds open up. The Hisarönü Gulf to the west is a maze of quiet bays and small fishing harbours, leading round to the rugged Datça peninsula where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean. To the north lies the Gulf of Gökova, with its pine-backed anchorages and famously clear water. The Greek Dodecanese are close too: Rhodes and the pretty harbour of Symi are within reach when your paperwork allows.
