Gulet Charter
A gulet is a traditional wooden sailing yacht — wide, comfortable and run by a professional crew — and a gulet charter is the most relaxed way to explore the eastern Mediterranean. Born on the Turkish coast, gulets now cruise the bays of Turkey and the Greek islands, ranging from simple family boats to luxury yachts with en-suite cabins, chefs and water toys.
There are two ways to charter a gulet. A private charter gives your group the whole boat for the week — your route, your pace, your people. A cabin charter books a single cabin per person on a set itinerary, a sociable and affordable way to sail for couples and small parties. Either way the rhythm is the same: short daily hops, two or three swim stops, and nights at anchor in quiet bays.
Most gulet holidays run seven nights and depart from bases like Bodrum, Göcek, Fethiye and Marmaris in Turkey, or the Dodecanese and Cyclades in Greece. Tell us where you'd like to sail, your dates and group size, and we'll match you with the right gulet and itinerary.

Frequently asked questions
What is a gulet?
A gulet is a traditional Turkish wooden sailing yacht — broad, stable and run by a professional crew. Modern gulets range from simple family boats to luxury yachts with en-suite cabins, air conditioning and water sports gear.
Private charter or cabin charter?
A private charter is the whole boat for your group by the week; a cabin charter books one cabin per person on a fixed itinerary. Private gives full control of the route; cabin is the sociable, lower-cost option for couples and small parties.
Where can you charter a gulet?
Mostly Turkey (Bodrum, Göcek, Fethiye, Marmaris) and Greece (the Dodecanese and Cyclades). Turkey is the home of the gulet and has the largest fleet.
What's included in a gulet charter?
A standard private charter includes the crew, the boat, fuel for a normal itinerary and harbour fees. Food, drinks and optional extras are arranged separately as a clear provisioning budget.
