Polyaigos

Polyaigos is the largest uninhabited island in the Cyclades, serving as a pristine sanctuary for any premium yacht charter. Often referred to as a "hidden paradise," it is world-renowned for its exceptional sea quality and electric-blue waters, particularly in the famous "Galazia Nera" (Blue Waters) area. A blue cruise to Polyaigos offers sailors an escape into raw Mediterranean nature, where towering white cliffs contrast beautifully with the transparent turquoise sea. The coastal structure is characterized by majestic rocky formations and secluded sandy coves, providing ideal spots for private anchorage and swimming in total solitude. Since the island has no permanent inhabitants, it remains an untouched haven for wildlife, including the rare Monachus monachus seal, offering a sophisticated off-the-grid experience for those seeking peace and natural wonder.

Logistics & Technical

Polyaigos is the largest uninhabited island in the Aegean. There are no ports; it is purely an anchorage destination. The most famous spot, Mersini (Blue Bay) in the south, offers excellent holding on a sandy bottom. However, it is exposed to the strong northerly Meltemi winds. During high winds, the small coves tucked under the steep cliffs on the southern coast provide better protection. The white sand on the seabed amplifies the water's neon-turquoise color. Captains staying overnight must be vigilant with weather forecasts and anchor security.

Gastronomy & Social Life

There are no settlements, restaurants, or cafes on the island. Social life consists of waving to neighboring crews and enjoying gourmet meals prepared in your own galley. The island's name means "Many Goats" (Poly-aigos); if you land, your only hosts will be the wild goats. It is a sanctuary for those seeking a quiet dinner under the stars, far from the crowd.

"Enter Mersini Bay with the first light of dawn; the water is so transparent and turquoise that your boat will feel like it’s floating in mid-air. This is the place to drop anchor and leave the world's noise behind."
