Logistics & Technical

Liman Ağzı is a wide, deeply indented, and well-sheltered natural bay located just southeast of Kaş town center. Technically, it stands as the safest anchorage in the Kaş area, offering excellent protection against the region's strong westerly and southwesterly (Lodos) winds. The seabed is a mix of sand and seagrass; aiming for the sandy patches provides highly reliable holding. The standard practice is to drop anchor in 8-12 meters and either use the mooring lines provided by the beach restaurants or take a line to the shore. While the entrance facing the open sea is wide, the inner bay remains as calm as a swimming pool.

Gastronomy & Social Life

Social life in Liman Ağzı revolves around a few high-quality, laid-back beach restaurants and clubs lining the shore. Since there is no road access, the bay buzzes with day-trippers coming by boat from Kaş during the day, but turns entirely peaceful and exclusive to sailors by late afternoon. The restaurants serve fresh Mediterranean seafood, local olive oil mezes, and home-cooked dishes. Dining in the evening—either on deck or at tables right on the beach while watching the distant lights of Kaş—is incredibly relaxing.

Personal Insight

Captain's Note

“
"Sailing out of the choppy open waters of Kaş and gliding into the calm, lake-like waters of Liman Ağzı is one of the most relaxing moments at sea. After securing your yacht in the late afternoon, listening to the Caretta Carettas breathing right next to your deck is priceless. When dropping anchor, avoid the heavy seagrass beds and ensure your anchor finds a clear sandy patch for a solid set."
