Logistics & Technical

Milos’s main port is Adamas, situated inside a vast volcanic crater on the northern side. It is one of the safest natural harbors in the world, offering excellent protection from all winds. Facilities like water, electricity, and fuel are available. However, Milos’s real nautical gems are on the southern coast. When the Meltemi blows, northern shores can get rough; yachts then head to sheltered bays like Kleftiko or Provatas. The seabed is mostly sandy with good holding. Navigators should be cautious of the cliffs near the entrance and the islet of Antimilos.

Social life in Milos centers around the narrow alleys of the whitewashed capital, Plaka, and the waterfront tavernas of Adamas. The local cuisine is shaped by the fertile volcanic soil; don't miss the "Pitarakia" (cheese pies) and "Belte" (tomato paste). Plaka is the ultimate spot for sunset watching. The island's vibe is peaceful and aesthetic, embodying a refined Cycladic simplicity.
