Seafood & Village Delights

History

The Sunken City & Simena

Kekova is world-famous for the 'Sunken City' (Batık Şehir), ancient Lycian ruins submerged by earthquakes, visible beneath the clear water. The village of Kaleköy (ancient Simena) is overlooked by a Crusader Castle housing the smallest amphitheater in Lycia. Lycian sarcophagi scattered in the sea and on land create a unique historical landscape.
