Logistics & Technical

Bedri Rahmi Koyu is exceptionally well-protected from all winds, making it a "safe house" for yachts. The bay is quite deep, but there are several wooden jetties belonging to the restaurants where yachts can moor (stern-to) with access to water and electricity. If you prefer to anchor, the bottom is a mix of sand and weed with excellent holding. A unique feature for captains is the natural freshwater spring on shore, traditionally used by sailors for centuries to replenish their supplies.

Gastronomy & Social Life

The bay is famous for its atmospheric seaside restaurants that offer a true "farm-to-table" experience. The social life is sophisticated and bohemian; you’ll often find sailors sharing stories under the stars. Must-try local delicacies include freshly caught octopus and the island's unique "cheese in wine" (Krasotiri). In 2026, the evening vibe remains romantic and candlelit, far from the noise of the city, focusing on good conversation and the sound of the sea.

Culture & Nature

The "Fish Painting" by Bedri Rahmi is the bay's soul; if you look closely, you’ll see six hidden animal figures within the fish. Beyond the art, the bay is home to the ancient city of Crya, with pigeon-hole tombs and an embroidered rock gate lurking among the trees. The nature is a lush tapestry of oleanders, pines, and thousand-year-old olive trees. At night, the absence of light pollution makes it a premier spot for stargazing.
