Keros

Keros is an uninhabited archaeological treasure in the Small Cyclades, offering a profound sense of isolation and raw beauty for any premium yacht charter. As a sacred site of the ancient Cycladic civilization, its pristine environment remains untouched by modern development, making it a perfect sanctuary for a blue cruise. The island's coastal structure features shallow sandy bays with some of the clearest turquoise waters in the Aegean, ensuring exceptional sea quality. Sailing enthusiasts often anchor in its southern coves to enjoy a peaceful stay surrounded by wild nature. The transparency of the water provides a world-class snorkeling experience over ancient seabed landscapes. Keros is the ultimate destination for those seeking an off-the-grid maritime adventure and a starlit night in total harmony with the sea.

Logistics & Technical

Approaching the island requires vigilant navigation due to uncharted rocky outcroppings and shallow reefs along the western and southern coastlines. The primary anchorages offer depths between 6 and 12 meters over a seabed composed of coarse sand, loose gravel, and intermittent rock shelves, providing moderate to poor holding capacity in shifting conditions. The area is highly vulnerable to the Meltemi (prevailing NW/N winds), which funnels through the narrow channels between Keros and Koufonisia, creating severe gusts, down-bursts, and heavy swells that necessitate a continuous anchor watch.

Gastronomy & Social Life

As a protected, uninhabited archaeological site, the island lacks any commercial infrastructure, permanent settlements, or dining facilities. The social dimension is strictly confined to off-grid maritime self-sufficiency, with provisioning reliant on the neighboring inhabited islands of the Small Cyclades.
