Baska Voda

Logistics & Technical

The port of Baška Voda is relatively small but provides good shelter for yachts. It is protected by a long breakwater, offering berths with water and electricity. The holding outside in the anchorage areas is generally good on a sandy/muddy bottom, but sailors must be extremely cautious of the "Bura"—the powerful northeasterly wind that can sweep down from the Biokovo mountains with sudden force. The port is a great base for those exploring the nearby islands of Brač and Hvar.

Nightlife in 2026 is centered around beach clubs and lounge bars like Južnjačka Utjeha, where the energy is high but the vibe remains sophisticated and Mediterranean.

Personal Insight

Captain's Note

“
"Keep an eye on the mountain peaks. If clouds begin to 'pour' over Biokovo like a waterfall, head to the port immediately—the Bura is coming."
